About

In the summer of 2022, Supreme Court had overturned Roe V. Wade. 14 out of 50 U.S. states had near-total abortion bans during any stage of pregancy. After the 100th day of the overturn, CAP stated that nearly 22 million women of reproductive age lived in states where abortion was either restricted or unavaliable. Abortion bans have also affected marginalized groups due to these communities not having access to reproductie health services. Reasons for this, is because of not having insurance, or not having enough insurance coverage, low employment, and living far away from health centers. (Jones, Kierra B. “A Year after the Supreme Court Overturned Roe v. Wade, Trends in State Abortion Laws Have Emerged.” Center for American Progress, December 18, 2023. https://rb.gy/0mlo3s). I designed Dear Supreme Court as a poster that responded to the anger, frustration, and hopelessness that were concerned with women's reproductive rights. Why does Surpreme Court get to control what women can and can't do with their bodies?
